Our sales and service departments are open for business and operating with restrictions. Normal working hours apply. We ask that you respect the new guidelines that we have introduced.

JUNE 8th 2020

Here are the systems and procedures that we have implemented for our sales and service department until further notice.

The process of shopping for a boat during this Covid-19 crises will involve understanding changes to our day to day operational procedures.

We are happy to confirm that identifying, purchasing, sea trialling and servicing a boat is still possible with proper preparation. Pair that with an effective use of technology, and it won’t be long before you find yourself at the helm, enjoying the best of social distancing on the water.

Instead of dropping by our showrooms and boatyard we ask you to adhere to the following:

Search our website for your preferred new or used boat

Contact us by email or phone with your queries and ask for up to date photos and video if necessary

Request a private viewing only when you are satisfied that the boat meets your requirements

Before arriving for your appointment, here's a few tips to ensure a safe and efficient experience:

On arrival at our premises or marina phone to confirm your presence and your sales person will come and meet you. We will need to log your presence and time of visit into our visitor book and log you out when you are leaving.

In order to limit the number of persons on board arrive with only the people you live with and who will be decision makers in the process.

We will have the boat opened for you in advance and all rails door knobs etc sanitised to the best of our ability.

Our sales person will remain on the pontoon to allow you to view the boat on your own.

While on board the boat we ask that you do not touch surfaces other than handrails and door knobs. We will have these sanitised in advance and after each viewing.

Stay at least 2 metres from dealer and marina personnel.

The total number of people aboard at any one time will be dictated by the size of the vessel. It may be necessary to split up your group into multiple viewings.

Be prepared to wear personal protection equipment (PPE). MGM Boats will provide masks, gloves, wipes and hand sanitizer, but bring your own if possible.

Understand that the use of public toilets may not be an option, so plan ahead.

Sea Trials will only take place after a deal is agreed, contract signed and deposit paid.

The total number of people permitted on board at any one time will be determined

by the size of the vessel keeping in line with the social distancing rules. We might have to do two short sea trials on smaller vessels.

We will have all rails door knobs seating etc sanitised to the best of our ability.

Surveys will take place as normal while respecting to and adhering to the rules for viewing and sea trials.
